Lancaster City Brass is the most recent incarnation of a long history of brass bands in the city. From the renowned Standfast Band, through to Storeys of Lancaster Band and more recently City of Lancaster (Storeys) Band we are once again having a change of image and the move to calling ourselves Lancaster City Brass symbolises a new era of brass music in the city. An influx of new musicians and the appointment of a new conductor with significant experience in the brass band world are seeing us go from strength to strength.

The band continually strives to improve its repertoire and whilst we are at the moment non contesting (though this may change) we have several engagements booked throughout the year including many prestigious city parades and events.

We are always keen to encourage new players into the band and encourage brass musicians of all abilities to join us, no matter what experience you have. We pride ourselves on our hard working but friendly approach where all are welcome.

Rehearsals are held twice weekly on Monday and Wednesday evenings between 7.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m., and anyone interested in joining us for a blow can get directions to the band room simply by contacting us.
